Number of bedrooms: 2 When you arrive you will receive a warm welcome from Robin
and Agnes Armstrong and Quil, the retired spaniel. The farm is set in a
secluded location over-looking the tranquil village of Lorton. Within easy
reach of the farm are the glorious fells and lakes surrounding Loweswater,
Buttermere and Lorton, where the keen walkers and sport enthusiasts can
use up all their spare energy... At the end of the day why not retire to one of the many local eating places and sample some local fayre and enjoy a glass of our local ale... The farm has 2 large family rooms, both of which have central heating, t.v. clock radio, coffee making facilities and home made biscuits. One of the bedrooms has a newly fitted en-suite bathroom and one has a private bathroom. Also available is a cosy lounge with a log fire, clour t.v. and easy chairs. The guests may take advantage of Mrs Armstrong's superb garden, which Mr Armstrong assures us is due to his hard work. Depending on the time of year that you visit the farm you may get to see new born lambs, young calves or see the winter feed being harvested. You will receive a substantial three course breakfast over-looking the Vale of Lorton. The farm is situated 4 miles from Cockermouth, 8 miles from Keswick on the B5292 over Whinlatter Pass. Easy access off the A66 at Braithwaite.
